Declaration Nexus: Google clicks doubled in six weeks; enquiries from articles have not followed yet
Figures measured on 29 October 2026. Search rankings change; we date them rather than imply they are permanent.
Client website: Declaration Nexus
The challenge
Declaration Nexus is a customs declaring agent in Singapore. Its buyers are business owners with a shipment stuck or a permit question, and they search for the problem, not for an agent. The blog had many older posts written in general terms, several on the same topic.
What we did
Our work is the articles only. We publish about one guide a day for a specific problem, explained from the official rules and linked to them, and every guide ends with a way to ask Declaration Nexus about that problem. We do not write about services the client has not confirmed.
The result
Organic clicks went from 92 to 198 in 28-day windows and the average Google position from 16.8 to 8.5. Still open: positions had already started to improve in early September, before our first article, so not all of this is our work. And the clicks have not yet turned into enquiries from the articles.
What we built and wrote
- The blog: 22 new guides since 21 September 2026 on the problems importers and exporters bring to a declaring agent: permits, certificates of origin, customs value. Each rule links to the official page it comes from. On 30 September we also rewrote older posts around those same business problems.
- Example: a rejected permit: A guide for the importer whose permit was just rejected: what the message means and what to check before filing again.
- Enquiry tracking: Since 21 September 2026 the site has our enquiry tracker, and in October we added a WhatsApp box to articles with a message already filled in for that problem.
What went wrong, and why
Two things. First, the articles bring readers but almost no enquiries yet: of the enquiries we tracked to 15 October 2026, only one started on an article; most started on the homepage. Second, a mistake of ours. On 15 October we misread a reply from the client and moved the site's WhatsApp links to the office phone number. The client pointed it out on 19 October, and we put every link back the same day and checked each page.

|---|---|---|
| Speed and cost per article | Faster and cheaper. That is its real strength. | Slower: research, a fact check and an editor before anything goes live. |
| Where facts come from | Patterns in its model and the pages already ranking. | Official or publisher pages, linked inline, checked by a person. |
| What gets built | Articles. | Articles, plus pages and apps when the business needs them, such as ABLINK's vehicle marketplace. |
| What is measured | Rankings and traffic. | Rankings, traffic and, where the client allows, the enquiries a page brings. |
| When it goes wrong | You find out yourself. | We write it on this page, with the reason and the fix. |
