Figures measured on 28 September 2026. Search rankings change; we date them rather than imply they are permanent.

The challenge

IFG Shipping is a Singapore freight forwarder working the Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia corridor. Until May 2026 its website drew about 50 Google clicks a month, with two or three keywords on page one. Its buyers, small importers and exporters, rarely search for a forwarder by name. They search for the paperwork problem in front of them: a certificate of origin, an HS code, a shipment held at customs.

What we did

From 25 May 2026 we published practical guides on exactly those problems: ATIGA Form D, Form E, HS codes, bills of lading, duties and customs holds. Each one draws on the experience of IFG's director, who has worked in freight for more than 25 years, and is checked against official sources. They open with a direct answer and carry structured data, so Google and AI assistants can quote them. We never publish transit times or prices that cannot be sourced.

The result

In the 28 days to 28 September 2026 the site earned 1,049 organic clicks from 88,426 search impressions, and held 180 keywords on Google page one on an average day. It ranks in the top five for searches such as “atiga form d” and “form e import from china to malaysia”. Still open: AI answers take many of these clicks, so only about 1.2% of searchers click through, and enquiries are not yet tracked on this site.

Measured change, before and after

Measured 7 Sep 2026: 19 Feb 2026 – 18 Mar 2026 compared with 8 Aug 2026 – 4 Sep 2026.

  • 46 → 760 organic clicks, Feb–Mar vs Aug–Sep 2026
  • 3 → 119 keywords on Google page 1, daily average
  • #2 'incoterms 2020' (position 1.9, Aug–Sep 2026)

IFG Shipping started with almost no search presence: 46 clicks and 3 page-one keywords in its first tracked month. Six months later: 760 clicks and 119 page-one keywords. Two guides did most of it — ATIGA Form D (0 to 123 clicks) and Form E certificate of origin (0 to 115). 78 articles published, 22 of them in the last 30 days.

The honest part
