GEO Agency Singapore Census: 0 of 60 Show Dated Proof

Contents12

We checked 60 GEO agency pages in Singapore on 2 October 2026, from agencies that sell GEO, AEO or AI SEO. 0 of 60 show dated proof: a before-and-after AI-citation result with the prompts named. Every one of them let the AI search crawlers in.

So before you hire a GEO agency in Singapore, ask for dated, prompt-level proof. Treat robots.txt and llms.txt as basics.

We name no agency on this page. The point is the yardstick, and we ran it on ourselves too.

Bar chart of 60 Singapore GEO agency pages measured on 2 October 2026: 60 allow the citation crawlers, 44 have llms.txt, 34 have Organization schema with sameAs, 20 claim an AI-visibility result, 19 say how they measure it, 19 name a person, 15 show a price, 9 show a result with a number and an engine, 0 show a dated before and after with prompts.

Key figures

Check on the agency's GEO page Pages that pass
A dated before-and-after AI-citation result, prompts named 0 of 60
Any AI-visibility result claimed at all 20 of 60
A result with a number and a named engine 9 of 60
Says how AI visibility is measured 19 of 60
Lets OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot and Claude-SearchBot in 60 of 60
Has a working llms.txt file 44 of 60
Organization schema with sameAs links 34 of 60
Shows its own price 15 of 60
Names a person accountable for the work 19 of 60

The median page passed 3 of the 7 scored checks. SingRank's own service page passed 5 and failed both proof checks.

What did we measure, and why does proof matter most?

We scored each agency's GEO page on seven checks, set before we measured anything. Proof and method matter most: they're the only checks about what an agency does for clients. Checks 3 to 5 are things it does to its own site.

  1. Proof. A dated before-and-after AI-citation result, with the prompts and the engine named.
  2. Method. The page says how AI visibility is measured: a prompt set, the engines tracked, or a named tool.
  3. Crawler access. robots.txt lets the three citation crawlers fetch the page.
  4. llms.txt. A working file at /llms.txt.
  5. Entity. Organization schema with at least one sameAs link.
  6. Price. The agency's own price on the page.
  7. Person. A named person accountable for the work.

Search "geo agency singapore" and Google's next suggestion adds the word "best". The pages that answer it are mostly lists. On 2 October, all 10 results our metasearch returned for "best geo agencies singapore" were lists or directories. At least two of those lists put the agency that wrote them first.

Lists matter because AI answers lean on them. In our study of which sources ChatGPT and Perplexity cite for Singapore buyer questions, an agency's own site was cited in 13 of the 14 answers that named agencies. So the agency's page is the evidence the engines read, and the evidence you read.

What did the proof claims actually look like?

No page showed dated, prompt-level proof. We read every result claim on all 60 pages and sorted each page into four tiers.

Tier What the page showed Pages
0 No AI-visibility result claimed 40
1 A claim with no number, date or engine, such as "clients now appear in AI answers" 11
2 A case or own result with a number and an engine, but not a dated before-and-after with prompts 9
3 Dated before and after, prompts named, engine named 0

3 of the 60 pages put a date on a result or a baseline. 4 showed the actual prompts typed into an engine. None did both.

One tier-2 page published a dated baseline for its own brand, a zero, with no follow-up reading yet. Others showed a client case with a share-of-voice figure and example questions, but no dates. One showed its own name in four engines' answers to prompts asking which GEO agency to hire, with no date and no before.

Why insist on dates and prompts? An AI answer changes with wording and from day to day. Without the prompt, you can't rerun it. Without a date, you can't tell a lasting result from one lucky screenshot. Google says so about its own AI features: "Indexing and serving isn't guaranteed" (Google Search Central).

So check 2 is the next best thing. 19 of 60 pages said how they measure AI visibility, for example a fixed set of buyer questions rerun monthly across named engines. Only 5 pages had both a stated method and a tier-2 result.

Which setup checks does nearly every agency pass?

  • 60 of 60 robots.txt files let OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot and Claude-SearchBot fetch the GEO page. 0 blocked GPTBot and 0 blocked Google-Extended.
  • 44 of 60 had a working llms.txt.
  • 34 of 60 carried Organization schema with sameAs links.

Crawler access matters because those three bots feed the AI search products. OpenAI says "OAI-SearchBot is used to surface websites in search results in ChatGPT's search features" (OpenAI).

Perplexity says its bot "is designed to surface and link websites in search results on Perplexity" (Perplexity).

Anthropic warns that disabling Claude-SearchBot "may reduce your site's visibility and accuracy in user search results" (Anthropic).

But 60 of 60 can't separate one agency from another. Our robots.txt census of 219 Singapore sites found the same among ordinary businesses. Only 1 of 207 working files blocked GPTBot or ClaudeBot.

llms.txt is a proposal, not a standard: "We propose adding a /llms.txt markdown file to websites to provide LLM-friendly content" (the llms.txt proposal).

For its own AI features, Google says: "You don't need to create new machine readable files, AI text files, or markup to appear in these features" (Google Search Central). So a tidy llms.txt shows you an agency can edit a file. We cover what the file can and can't do in llms.txt for Singapore businesses.

Do GEO agencies show prices and name the people?

15 of 60 pages showed the agency's own price, and 19 of 60 named a person accountable for the work. For price, we recorded only whether one was there, never the amount. We quote no other agency's price.

A named person could be an author, a founder with a role, or a named strategist. Testimonials didn't count. In 9 of those 19, the name sat only in the page code, not in the text a visitor reads.

A named person and a written price are commitments you can hold someone to. A claim with neither is harder to check.

Our own row: 5 of 7, and the two checks we fail

Our own page passed 5 of 7 checks and failed both proof checks. We ran the same script and reading on our SEO, AEO and GEO programme page. It passed crawler access, llms.txt, Organization schema with sameAs, price and a named person. Our person check passes only through the page code, the same weakness we counted in 9 of the agency pages.

The page shows no dated AI-citation result and doesn't say how we measure AI visibility. It says we monitor whether AI crawlers can reach a client's site, which is check 3, not proof.

On the same day, ChatGPT and Perplexity named SingRank in 0 of 15 hiring answers, as reported in the AI citation sources study. The fix is what we tell you to ask for: a dated, prompt-level record on the page.

What proof should you ask a GEO agency for before you sign?

Ask for the prompts, two dates, the raw answers, the rerun schedule and a baseline on your own business. Check the agency's page first, then the call. Our six checks before you hire an AI SEO agency cover the wider hiring decision. This list covers proof only.

1. Ask for the prompts, word for word

Ask which exact questions were typed into which engines. If the agency won't share the prompt list, you can't rerun anything it shows you.

2. Ask for a before date and an after date

A result needs a first reading and a later one, each dated. One screenshot only proves the answer looked like that once.

3. Ask for the raw answers

Ask for the saved answers behind the numbers, not only a dashboard. A share-of-voice figure is only as good as the answers it was counted from.

4. Ask how often it's rerun

AI answers drift. A monthly rerun of the same prompt set is a method. A one-off audit is a snapshot.

5. Ask for the same baseline on your own business

Before signing, ask the agency to run its prompt set on your brand and your competitors, dated, and hand it over. That baseline is the "before" any later result will be judged against.

Robots.txt, llms.txt and schema still belong on your site. Just don't count them as proof that an agency gets clients cited.

Method

Sample frame. On 2 October 2026 we ran 12 fixed GEO hiring searches through SingRank's own metasearch, which blends several search engines. Examples are "geo agency singapore", "aeo agency singapore" and "generative engine optimization services singapore". We took up to 30 results for each, giving 169 distinct websites, our own included.

Who counted. An agency or consultancy that sells GEO, AEO, AI SEO or AI Overview work. It had to show a Singapore signal (a Singapore address, a +65 number, a .sg domain or a page serving Singapore clients) and state that offer on the measured page. 60 qualified.

We excluded 45 sites that weren't agencies, 27 with no Singapore signal, 17 lists and directories, 9 agencies with no GEO offer, 3 software vendors, 2 duplicates after redirects, 3 that failed to load and 2 whose robots.txt disallowed us. Our own site was scored separately and isn't in the 60.

Which page. The agency's GEO, AEO or AI SEO service page. Where the search result was a blog post or a general SEO page, we followed the agency's own link to its GEO page.

How. A crawler that names itself (SingRankStudyBot), obeying robots.txt, one request per second per site. Checks 3 to 5 were read by script. Checks 1, 2, 6 and 7 were flagged by script, and every positive was read by hand. Five rows were re-tested by hand.

Plan first. The checks and the inclusion rule were written down and fingerprinted before collection. Eight changes made during the work, including one bug fix, are logged with reasons in the deviations file.

Limits

  • This is a census of one frame on one day: 60 agencies our metasearch returned for 12 searches. It isn't every GEO agency in Singapore, and the results aren't Google's ranking.
  • We read one page per agency. Proof kept on a separate case page wasn't opened.
  • We measured what a buyer can see, not whether any claim is true or any client was helped.
  • Schema was read from JSON-LD only. robots.txt rules don't show what a firewall does to a crawler.
  • SingRank scored itself with the same script, but we aren't neutral. The CSV lets anyone recheck our row.

FAQ

Which GEO or AEO agency in Singapore has a proven record of getting clients cited?

None of the 60 pages we checked on 2 October 2026 showed a track record you could verify. 0 of 60 had a dated before-and-after result with prompts, and we don't name agencies. Ask each shortlisted agency for those records, and choose on what they hand over.

Is an llms.txt file a sign of a good GEO agency?

No. 44 of 60 agency pages had one, so it doesn't tell agencies apart. Google says you don't need AI text files to appear in its AI features. The file shows the agency maintains its own site, not that it gets clients cited.

Who offers GEO marketing for Singapore SMEs?

Many agencies do: 60 of the 169 sites our 12 searches returned were agencies selling GEO, AEO or AI SEO to Singapore businesses, and we name none of them. What separates them is proof. Ask each for a dated before-and-after result with the prompts, then compare what they hand over.

Are there Singapore specialists for AIO and AEO implementation?

Yes. Our frame found 60 agency pages selling AEO, GEO or AI SEO work in Singapore, including AI Overview optimisation. Calling yourself a specialist is easy; 19 of 60 said how they measure the result, and 0 of 60 showed dated, prompt-level proof.

Do Singapore GEO agencies publish their prices?

15 of the 60 pages we checked showed the agency's own price. We counted presence only and quote no one else's price. SingRank's Premium Starter is S$500 a month, with a three-month minimum, as listed on our pricing page. For what each layer of the work involves, see SEO, AEO and GEO pricing in Singapore.
