A dental clinic owner in Singapore builds a website around the treatments they are proudest of. Implants. Orthodontics. A page about the practice. Then the enquiries come in asking two things the website barely addresses: what does it cost, and can I use my CHAS card.
Price is the largest single group of dental searches, and the second largest group is people asking other patients instead of asking a clinic. We pulled 98 Google Autocomplete suggestions for Singapore dental searches on 30 September 2026 and sorted each one into the strongest intent we could read in it. 28 of 98 asked price. 16 of 98 went looking for Reddit threads or reviews. Only 10 of 98 asked about who is best.
The group that surprised us was the small one. Just 10 of 98 mentioned CHAS, Medisave, a polyclinic or insurance, even though those schemes decide what a Singapore patient actually pays. And 5 of 98 had already picked a clinic and were checking it by name.
This article is about the buyers. We published a separate piece today about how Singapore dental websites quote their prices, which is a different question. This is marketing guidance, not dental or financial advice.
Where these 98 suggestions came from
We ran three seeds through Google Autocomplete using our own keyword tool on 30 September 2026, in the Singapore market: "dentist singapore" (the service), "dental implant singapore" (a high-value treatment) and "wisdom tooth extraction singapore" (a treatment people arrive at in pain).
Autocomplete returned 25 suggestions for the implant seed, 33 for the wisdom tooth seed and 55 for the dentist seed, of which our 40-row cap kept 40. That leaves 98 suggestions, all unique, all real predictions Google served for a Singapore searcher.
We are publishing counts and groupings only, not volumes. Google's own documentation on autocomplete states that it "doesn't simply display the most common queries on a given topic" and that "it differs from and shouldn't be compared against Google Trends". So a suggestion count tells you how a market phrases its question and nothing at all about traffic. Anyone quoting autocomplete counts as search volume is misreading the tool.
Each suggestion was assigned to one group, by the strongest intent in it. "wisdom tooth extraction cost singapore medisave" contains a price word, but the person is really asking what the scheme covers, so it sits in the subsidy group. The groups therefore add to 98.
| What the searcher was really asking | Count |
|---|---|
| Price or cost | 28 of 98 |
| What other patients say (Reddit or reviews) | 16 of 98 |
| The plain treatment name, nothing more | 14 of 98 |
| Near me, or open now | 11 of 98 |
| Who is best | 10 of 98 |
| A subsidy or scheme | 10 of 98 |
| One named clinic | 5 of 98 |
| Recovery and time off work | 3 of 98 |
| A job, not treatment | 1 of 98 |
Price is the biggest group, and it is not one question
28 of the 98 suggestions asked what something costs. Read them closely and they split into three different jobs, which is why a single fees page rarely satisfies any of them.
Some want a number: "dental implant singapore price", "singapore dentist price list", "sg dental price", "dental clinic singapore price". Some want the cheapest: "cheapest dental implant singapore", "cheapest wisdom tooth extraction singapore", "dentist singapore cheap". Some want the number for one specific thing: "dental crown singapore price", "orthodontist singapore price", "kids dentist singapore price", "wisdom tooth extraction surgery cost singapore".
Two of the 28 narrow further in ways worth noticing. "wisdom tooth extraction cost singapore for foreigners" is a patient who knows the schemes will not apply to them. "polyclinic dental implant price singapore" is a patient comparing you against the public sector before they compare you against another clinic.
In our view the practical read is this. A single page called "Fees" will rank for none of these well. A page per treatment, each opening with the number and the footing, can rank for several. Our study of Singapore dental price pages found that the footing is where most of them lose the comparison.
16 of 98 are asking other patients, not you
This was the second largest group and, for an owner, the most uncomfortable one.
10 of the 98 suggestions contained the word "reddit": "dentist singapore reddit", "best dentist singapore reddit", "good dentist singapore reddit", "best orthodontist singapore reddit", "best dental singapore reddit", "dental implant singapore reddit", "dental implant cost singapore reddit", "wisdom tooth extraction singapore reddit", "best wisdom tooth extraction singapore reddit", "wisdom tooth extraction cost singapore reddit".
Another 6 asked for reviews without naming a platform: "dentist singapore review", "orthodontist singapore review", "dental review singapore", "sg dentistry reviews", "best dentist singapore review", "dental implant singapore review".
Compare that with the 10 of 98 who simply asked who is best. More people in this sample wanted a second-hand account than wanted an answer to "best dentist singapore". Four of the ten Reddit suggestions pair the platform with a price word or the word best, which tells you what they are hoping to find there: a real number from someone who paid it.
You cannot write your way onto Reddit, and you should not try. What you can do is remove the reason people go there. They go because the clinic pages did not give a number, a named clinician, or an honest account of what the recovery is like. A page that does all three takes some of that traffic back, and it is also the page a review-reading buyer checks after Reddit, before they call.
Only 10 of 98 mentioned a subsidy, and that is a gap
10 of the 98 suggestions named CHAS, Medisave, a polyclinic or insurance. Given that these schemes decide the number a Singapore patient actually pays, we expected more.
Read as a group, they are specific: "dentist singapore chas card", "dentist singapore polyclinic", "dental implant singapore medisave", "tooth implant cost singapore medisave", "wisdom tooth extraction singapore medisave", "wisdom tooth extraction cost singapore medisave", "wisdom tooth extraction cost singapore polyclinic", "wisdom.tooth extraction singapore polyclinic", "polyclinic dental implant price singapore", "dental insurance singapore price".
Two of those ten are worth a clinic owner's attention for what they get wrong. MOH states that CHAS "enables all Singapore Citizens (SCs), including Pioneer Generation (PG) and Merdeka Generation (MG) cardholders, to receive subsidies for preventive, medical and/or dental care at participating General Practitioner (GP) and dental clinics", according to its CHAS page, which we read on 30 September 2026. The searches pairing CHAS or Medisave with "polyclinic" are conflating a private-clinic subsidy scheme with the public sector.
That confusion is a content opportunity, not a joke at a patient's expense. MOH's page says CHAS covers 18 dental procedures, including consultations, extractions, fillings, dentures, crowns, root canal treatments, scaling, polishing, fluoride and X-rays, with the subsidy tiered by household income. If you are a CHAS clinic, a page that states which of your treatments are covered, what a card holder pays at your chair, and what CHAS does not touch, answers a question ten of these searchers are asking in ten different ways.
5 of 98 had already chosen, and were checking
Five suggestions named a specific clinic or group and asked about its price or its reviews. We are not repeating the names.
This is branded search, and it behaves differently from everything else on this page. The person is not shopping any more; they are looking for a reason not to proceed. If the answer they find is a forum thread from 2019 rather than your own page, someone else is writing your last impression.
The fix is unglamorous. Your clinic name plus the treatment plus the price should land on a page you control. We found the same pattern in Singapore F&B, where buyers searched an outlet's own name plus price rather than "best buffet", which we wrote up in buyers search your name plus price.
Recovery and time off is small but unambiguous
Only 3 of the 98 asked about what happens after: "wisdom tooth extraction singapore mc", "how many days mc for wisdom tooth extraction singapore" and "what to eat after wisdom tooth extraction singapore".
Three is a small number and we are not going to inflate it. But look at what two of the three want: a medical certificate, and how many days of it. That is an employed adult working out whether they can afford the time, which is a booking question wearing different clothes.
A surgical treatment page that states the usual number of MC days, and what people eat for the first two days, answers a real barrier to booking. It costs you a paragraph.
One suggestion was not a patient at all
"dentist singapore salary" was the only suggestion in the 98 that came from someone wanting a job rather than treatment.
It is worth naming because it is the kind of query that inflates a keyword report. If an agency brings you a plan built on the highest-demand phrases around your trade, some of that demand will be students, job seekers and rival practices. We wrote about spotting this in how to tell a real trend from a dead end.
Which pages a Singapore dental clinic is probably missing
Working only from what these 98 searches asked, here is the order we would build in.
- One page per treatment, opening with the price and its footing. Implant, wisdom tooth surgery, braces, crown, scaling. Fee, GST position, Medisave or CHAS position. This serves the largest group.
- A CHAS and Medisave page for your clinic specifically. What is covered at your chair, what a card holder pays, what is not covered. Serves the 10 who asked, and the ones who asked through a price query.
- A page carrying your own clinic name plus the treatment and price. Serves the 5 who already chose you and are checking.
- A named clinician page per dentist. This is what the review and Reddit group is really after: a person, not a practice.
- Recovery notes inside the surgical pages, including the usual MC days.
What we would not build first: a page about being the best dentist in Singapore. Only 10 of 98 asked that, and those results are held by listicles and forums rather than clinics. Our guide to SEO for dentists in Singapore covers the compliance side of writing all of these, and local SEO Singapore covers the 11 of 98 asking near me or open now, most of which resolve in Maps rather than on your site.
What this costs you
Writing to this list has a price, and it is not only the writing.
The price pages will lose you some enquiries. A patient who wanted the cheapest implant in Singapore will now rule you out without calling. That is the point of the page; you were never going to win that person, and the phone call cost your front desk five minutes.
The CHAS page will attract people whose treatment CHAS does not cover, and some of them will be annoyed. Say plainly what is not covered and the annoyance mostly happens before the appointment instead of after it.
The clinician pages are the most expensive, because they need a real person to sit still and be photographed and have their training written down accurately. In a regulated profession, accurately is the operative word.
And if you are a single-chair clinic with no Search Console access and no Google Business Profile claimed, none of this is your first job. Claim the profile, then come back to the content.
Method and limits
- Autocomplete is not search volume. Google states that autocomplete "doesn't simply display the most common queries on a given topic" and should not be compared against Google Trends. We report counts and groupings only, and we publish no volume figures.
- One pull, one day. 98 suggestions from three seeds, taken on 30 September 2026 in the Singapore market. Tool timestamps are UTC, which is the early morning of 1 October in Singapore.
- Three seeds cannot cover dentistry. We chose a general seed, a high-value treatment and an urgent one. Paediatric, cosmetic and TCM-adjacent searches are under-represented.
- Grouping is a judgement. Each suggestion was assigned to one group by the strongest intent we could read. Someone else would move a handful of rows. The groups add to 98 so you can check our arithmetic.
- One cap applied. The "dentist singapore" seed produced 55 candidates and our 40-row limit kept 40, so that seed is under-sampled relative to the others.
- No business is named, and no clinic mentioned or implied here is a SingRank client.
One next step
If you run a dental clinic in Singapore, pick the treatment that pays for your month and check one thing: does that page state a fee, a GST position and a Medisave or CHAS position in the first screen?
If it does not, send us the page. We will tell you which of these nine buyer groups it currently answers and which it misses. It starts as a free visibility check through our contact page.
We will not promise you rankings or AI citations. What we will do is show you the search phrasing and let you decide whether the pages are worth writing.
FAQ
What do Singapore patients search before choosing a dentist?
In our pull of 98 Google Autocomplete suggestions on 30 September 2026, price was the largest group at 28, followed by 16 asking what other patients say on Reddit or in reviews. Only 10 asked who is best, and 10 mentioned CHAS, Medisave, a polyclinic or insurance.
Do dental patients in Singapore really search Reddit?
Ten of the 98 suggestions contained the word "reddit", across general dentist searches, implants and wisdom tooth extraction. Four of those ten paired Reddit with a price word or the word best. Google is predicting those phrases because people type them, which tells you clinic pages are not answering something.
Should a dental clinic write a CHAS page?
If you are a CHAS clinic, yes. MOH says CHAS covers 18 dental procedures at participating GP and dental clinics, with subsidies tiered by household income. A page stating what a card holder pays at your chair, and what is not covered, answers a question ten of our 98 suggestions circled in different ways.
Does autocomplete data show how much traffic a keyword gets?
No. Google's documentation states that autocomplete "doesn't simply display the most common queries on a given topic" and that it "shouldn't be compared against Google Trends". Suggestion counts show how a market phrases its question, which helps you decide what to write, and tell you nothing reliable about traffic volume.
Why did we not publish search volumes?
Because the volume figures our keyword tool produces are estimated against our own clients' Search Console data, and that is their data, not ours to publish. Counts of suggestions and how they group by intent involve no client data at all.
Can I cite these figures?
Yes. Please cite "SingRank, Singapore dental search intent pull, 30 September 2026" with a link to this page, and quote each figure with its base, such as 28 of 98. Corrections are welcome through our contact page.
